Everything You Need To Know

  • United Methodists use the term "confirmation" to mark the first time a baptized Christian publicly "confirms" their intention to live the vows of the baptismal and membership covenant and so becomes a professing member of the local congregation and The United Methodist Church.

Confirmation is intended to help us explore Christian faith. In confirmation, most of us confirm the promise made by our parents when we were baptized, while some of us choose to be baptized into the faith for the first time. This is a time when we ask our youth to set aside some time and dedicate themselves to learning about the Christian faith, beliefs, the United Methodist Church and it’s history.

  • We will announce all upcoming dates soon. Stay tuned!

  • Confirmation entails many components; at Munford First UMC Confirmation consists of 16 classes, multiple service opportunities, 2 field trips to local churches of other denominations/faiths, and 1 retreat. Additionally each confirm and will be assigned a mentor that will encourage them throughout the Confirmation process as they explore and grow in faith.

  • Registration will be made available online. Coming soon!
